Thomas Gregory, 1958–2024

Thomas Gregory, a cherished husband and respected member of the NYS Police, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, who remember him fondly for his dedication and kindness.


Thomas Gregory: A Life of Service

Thomas dedicated his life to serving his community. He joined the NYS Police, Troop T, in Albany, where he served as an Office Assistant 3 and Principal Clerk with the Local Union CSEA. His commitment to his work and colleagues earned him admiration and respect from all who knew him.


A Courageous Battle

Thomas faced his greatest challenge when diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer. Despite the immense adversity, he approached his battle with remarkable courage and resilience, inspiring those around him with his strength and determination.


Honoring His Memory

The Gregory family invites friends, relatives, and colleagues to pay their respects at the calling hours, to be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY, on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Following the calling hours, a funeral service will commence at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.


Final Farewell

Following the service, Thomas will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Schenectady, NY, where he will find eternal peace.
