He continued his academic excellence at Louisiana State University (LSU) after graduating from Captain Shreve in 2001. Mark was not only successful in his academic pursuits but also in his social life. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and loved watching the Fighting Tigers play football at LSU. In 2006, he graduated from LSU with a B.A. in Communications.
After finishing his studies, Mark returned to Shreveport, where he became a successful businessman. He primarily focused on the restaurant business, particularly franchises like Counter Culture and Pizza Rev. Mark excelled in this field due to his exceptional social skills, charisma, and personality. His determination and work ethic contributed to making the companies with which he was associated some of the most profitable in their industries.
Despite his significant accomplishments, Mark remained modest and humble, never boasting about his success. His friends and loved ones were incredibly proud of his achievements, as he was a man of unwavering integrity and empathy. Mark’s quick wit, sense of humor, and charming personality made him a favorite among people he met. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him, but his legacy as a successful businessman and a remarkable individual will always be remembered.

Sad to say goodbye to an awesome neighbor and friend, Mark Florsheim. As our Gladstone neighbors, Mark and Brooke helped us get through the covid lockdown days and the great freeze with the best company in the most isolating of times. They taught us how to do Highland Mardi Gras right, and always knew how to have a good time with good music and lots of laughter. Mark, you will be dearly missed!

This one’s a real bummer. Mark Florsheim passed a few days ago. I first met him years ago when Pizza Rev hired me to do Know-It-All Trivia. we immediately hit it off. He was one of the nicest guys around, and it absolutely sucks that he’s not here anymore. Anyone that ran across him knows what I mean.
