Madison Shaque and Samuel Brown Accident: How it Happened?
Two Tuscaloosa teenagers lost their lives and two others were injured in a fatal accident that occurred early Saturday morning. The Tuscaloosa Police Department reported that the accident happened at the intersection of Skyland Boulevard East and Interstate 20/59. The accident involved a 2022 Tesla and a semi-truck, which collided and pinned the car under the truck’s trailer, trapping all four occupants. Although The police did not release the names of the victims involved in the tragic accident, but social media posts from friends and family confirmed the identities of the two teenagers: 17-year-old Madison Sims, a student at Bryant High School who was driving the car, and 18-year-old Samuel Brown from Uniontown, who was sitting in the front passenger seat. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Samuel Brown was a senior at R.C. Hatch High School, where he was known for his skills on the football and basketball teams.
In January, he expressed his excitement for graduation through a Facebook post of his senior photos.The accident occurred following prom at Bryant High School, according to the scores of social media posts from family and friends. The news of the accident has left the community in mourning, with many expressing their condolences and sharing memories of the two teenagers. In the aftermath of the fatal crash, a photo collage of the two teens posted by Sims on Facebook has garnered almost 15,000 shares and over 18,000 reactions.
The accident also left two other teenagers injured, with an 18-year-old female from Montgomery transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham with life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, the other 17-year-old female who was involved in the accident was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center and is said to be in good condition on Saturday morning, having sustained only minor injuries.The incident has left the community in shock, with many struggling to come to terms with the tragic loss of two young lives.
At the moment, authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident that claimed the lives of Samuel Brown and Madison Shaque.
