Wyatt Randle Accident: How It Happened

Earlier this week, a distressing incident occurred when a 16-year-old girl was driving a 2008 Polaris ATV on Boz Road, approximately 7 miles west of Waxahachie in Ellis County. At around 7 p.m. on a Sunday evening, she ran a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck, injuring a married couple, both 70 years old. It was a tragic accident, as authorities revealed that the ATV had flipped at least once, eventually landing in a roadside ditch. The impact was so severe that the ATV’s driver and her passengers, aged 14, 14, and 12, were thrown from the vehicle.

Regrettably, 12-year-old Wyatt Randle, one of the passengers, did not survive the crash. Tragically, we learned on Wednesday that 14-year-old Ayden Randle, Wyatt’s older brother, had also succumbed to his injuries. The 16-year-old ATV driver and one of the 14-year-old passengers are still in the hospital, receiving medical care.

Meanwhile, the occupants of the pickup truck, who were wearing seat belts at the time, were transported to Baylor, Scott and White Hospital in Waxahachie with their conditions remaining unknown, as reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). It’s worth noting that although the ATV had harness-style seatbelts, investigators discovered that they were not in use during the tragic accident
