Sean Patterson Died

Boone, a close-knit community in Iowa, mourns the passing of a beloved member, Sean Patterson, who passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the age of 58. Sean’s legacy lives on through his wife, Amanda, and their children, Alanna, Brenden, Connor, Tauri, and Brady Patterson, as well as a grieving brother.

Who was Sean Patterson?

Sean Patterson was the son of Robert Patterson and Judy Patterson (née Brown). After graduating from Boone High School in 1984, he furthered his education at Northwest Missouri State University. Sean worked as a manager at the local Hy-Vee Grocery Store for more than 20 years, where he became a familiar and friendly face to the people of Boone. Known for his approachable nature, Sean was someone everyone could count on for a friendly chat or a good laugh. He tied the knot with Amanda Patterson.

Beyond his work and family, Sean had a deep love for nature. He spent a significant amount of his free time outdoors, caring for his family’s land and its natural resources. Sean also had a passion for activities like cycling, tennis, and various other sports.

Sean Patterson Died: The Mournful Passing

The passing of Sean Patterson has left family and friends in deep sorrow. Currently, the family has not revealed the specific cause of his death. It was Brandon Patterson, Sean’s son, who shared the sad news and confirmed his father’s passing through a heartfelt post on Facebook.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects at the visitation scheduled from 3:00–7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Story Room of Cobblestone Inn & Suites, 1900 Lakewood Drive, Boone. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m., providing an opportunity for those who knew Sean to share their memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Sean Patterson Memorial Fund. Contributions can be mailed to the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, c/o Sean Patterson Family, P.O. Box 15, Boone, IA 50036.
