Sabrina Navaretta Car Accident: How it happened?
Among the injured was Sabrina Navaretta, a 16-year-old girl who became trapped in one of the vehicles. Once free, she was treated at the scene before being transported to the Emergency Room at Christiana Hospital. The other five victims were also treated, with four of them being transported to the same hospital. One victim, however, refused treatment and remained at the scene.
The University of Delaware’s Emergency Care Unit was one of the teams that responded to the accident, along with County Paramedics and the Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder personnel. Thanks to their quick and efficient work, all of the victims received the necessary medical attention.
Newark police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, and Library Avenue between Wyoming Road and Farm Lane was closed for approximately three hours while they conducted their investigation.
