It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Veronica Maher, who passed away on February 15th, 2023, after a short illness. Veronica, nee Linehan, was the beloved wife of Philip, a devoted mother to Tara and Emma, and the cherished daughter of Nancy and the late Denis. Obituary and Funeral Arrangements
The funeral arrangements for Veronica Maher have been announced by her family. Her remains will be reposing at Fordes Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Friday, 17th of February, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, 18th of February, a Requiem Mass will be held in St. Brigid’s Church, Crosshaven at 12 noon. The funeral procession will then proceed to St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Crosshaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Cork Children’s Leukaemia Association, which was an important cause that Veronica dedicated much of her life to supporting. This is a touching gesture that reflects Veronica’s selflessness and kindness towards others, even in her passing.
