How did Veronica Maher die? What was her Cause of Death?

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Veronica Maher, who passed away on February 15th, 2023, after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at Cork University Hospital during her last moments. Veronica, nee Linehan, was the beloved wife of Philip, a devoted mother to Tara and Emma, and the cherished daughter of Nancy and the late Denis. She was also a dear sister to Noreen, and her loss has left an indescribable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Obituary and Funeral Arrangements

The funeral arrangements for Veronica Maher have been announced by her family. Her remains will be reposing at Fordes Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Friday, 17th of February, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, 18th of February, a Requiem Mass will be held in St. Brigid’s Church, Crosshaven at 12 noon. The funeral procession will then proceed to St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Crosshaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Cork Children’s Leukaemia Association, which was an important cause that Veronica dedicated much of her life to supporting. This is a touching gesture that reflects Veronica’s selflessness and kindness towards others, even in her passing. It’s an opportunity for friends and loved ones to contribute to a cause close to her heart and continue her legacy of supporting those in need.
