Who was Papa Ndoye?
Papa Ndoye was an inspirational leader, whose commitment to Amego and its clients knew no bounds. He could always be counted on for more than what his job title stipulated, working many hours beyond the normal call of duty and often getting his hands dirty helping out in any way he could. As a Program Director at Amego, Inc. for over eight years, Papa had an amazing impact on the lives of both clients with autism and other intellectual disabilities, as well as the staff that supported them. His dedication shone through in everything he did – an exemplary figure representing Amego’s spirit and values. Papa Ndoye was one of Amego’s unsung heroes; a true testament to his passion for helping those he served.
Papa left Africa for the US many years back, but that doesn’t matter; his family still wants him to return home for his final goodbye. To ensure his journey is a pleasant one and to benefit his young children’s future, all proceeds from the trip will go towards their financial stability. His final voyage home will be made possible with your help.

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the world suffered an immense loss when Papa Ndyoe passed away in a tragic car accident. For 18 years he was an amazing husband to Fama Diop and dedicated father to his four children: Khady Louise laye (17), Mariama (11), Papa (7) and Maimouna (3). Papa lived his life with joy and love. He was always willing to go out of his way for his family- often driving far distances to get whatever they needed. His absence leaves an unimaginable void in their lives — one that nothing can entirely fill. A testament to the loving legacy that he left behind, friends of the family have recounted stories of Papa’s reverence for Fama and unending commitment to his children. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
