Missing Richard Boateng Found Dead

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department shared that a man from Maryland, who had been reported missing, disappeared while swimming at a beach in Delaware during the weekend. Sadly, he was found dead on the beach in the North Shores community near Ocean Drive and Farview Road.

Missing Richard Boateng Found Dead: What Was His Cause Of Death?

On Sunday, around 5:45 in the evening, a man named Richard A. Boateng was last seen swimming in the ocean near Rehoboth Avenue beach. Sadly, on Monday morning, shortly before 6 a.m., there was a report of a human body spotted in the ocean surf. In response, the Rehoboth Beach Police, Delaware State Parks Enforcement Division, and the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the scene. Sussex County Paramedics were also called and confirmed that the body belonged to the missing person, Richard A. Boateng, who was pronounced dead right there.

A forensic investigator from the Division of Forensic Science came to the scene to examine the body, and eventually, the body was taken away. Currently, an investigation into the cause of Richard A. Boateng’s death is being conducted jointly by the Rehoboth Beach Police and the Division of Forensic Science.

It’s important to note that, at this time, no suspicious or foul play is suspected in this tragic incident.
