Melanie Humphries McKinney, a 48-year-old from Alabama, tragically lost her life early Sunday morning in a fatal single-vehicle crash near Red Bay. Reports indicate that McKinney was driving his Mercedes SLK 300 on Alabama 247 at around 5:30 a.m. when he suddenly veered off the road, crashing into an embankment and a tree. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene due to the blunt force trauma injuries he had sustained from the accident. Investigators are still gathering information to determine what led to the collision, and no other details have been released yet. Everyone is saddened by the loss of this beloved individual and sends their condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
