Marc Roy Died: What was His Cause of Death?

He was a highly talented musician with a deep connection to bluegrass, country, and Canadian fiddle music, infusing his performances with vibrant energy and emotion. While the cause of his death remains undisclosed at this time, his sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of many. One touching tribute from Stephen Greenwell, shared on Facebook,
Marc Roy: a bluegrass guitar player that every banjo player would want behind him. Such terrible news. I always thanked him every time I saw him play, [even if sometimes that was a ‘guy nod’, the ‘alright mate’ nod!], because to hear him play was truly a gift. Esp when he wanted to rip one.
What a sound, what a player. Such an influence to have seen him and heard him play. Will never forget the jam 2 feet from me in the Parkhouse years ago in Goderich with Emory Lester and Andrew Collins. Marc’s pickin left me breathless, and made me practice, to be able to play with a guitar player like that one day.
Condolences to all Marc’s closest ones. RIP.
