McCoy, hailing from Bunkie, was heading east on Louisiana Highway 1176 while operating a 2021 GMC Sierra.The vehicle reportedly veered off the lane and went down the ditch embankment, hitting a culvert and a tree before rolling onto its roof. The reason for this incident is still unknown.
Christopher R. McCoy, suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital. It was reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
