He started his career as a teacher in 2002, teaching at both Peach County Middle School and Taylor County Middle School. Over the years, he served in various administrative roles, including assistant principal at Taylor County Middle School from 2013 to 2014 and assistant principal at Peach County High School from 2015 to 2016.

He then became the principal of Peach County High School, where he served from 2017 to 2022, helping to guide and shape the academic and personal growth of countless students.
