Keegan Grimm, born on January 11, 2006, in Appleton, was a senior at Reedsville High School. She was the daughter of Travis L. and Becky A. (Zutz) Grimm. Keegan was an active and talented athlete, participating in basketball, volleyball, and softball for Reedsville High School. In the previous year, she earned letters in both basketball and volleyball. Beyond sports, she found joy in activities like soccer and spending quality time jet skiing at Long Lake with her friends and family. Keegan also dedicated her time to coaching girls’ softball during the past summer and shared a passion for turkey hunting with her father. Her love extended to her role as a caring big sister and her affection for animals, especially her beloved dog Bex.
Keegan had a compassionate heart for the elderly and often visited seniors at Reedsville Manor accompanied by her faithful companion, Bex. She was an active member of St. John-St. James Ev. Lutheran Church of Reedsville.
Keegan Grimm Died In An Accident: How It Happened
The tragic incident occurred just before 5:30 a.m., as reported by The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office. A 21-year-old woman was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado westward on USH 10, while simultaneously, a 17-year-old was behind the wheel of a 2010 Ford Escape, heading east on the same road. Sadly, the 21-year-old woman crossed the centerline, resulting in a devastating head-on collision with the Ford Escape.
Unfortunately, the young woman from Menasha lost her life at the accident scene. Emergency responders quickly arrived, and the 17-year-old Keegan from Reedsville was airlifted to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah using the ThedaStar helicopter. Despite the dedicated efforts of medical professionals, she tragically succumbed to her injuries at the medical center. According to the report, there were no passengers in either vehicle at the time of the collision. This heartbreaking incident highlights the importance of road safety and the devastating consequences that can result from accidents on our highways.

Obituary And Funeral Arrangements
A Funeral Service to honor Keegan Grimm‘s memory is scheduled for 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the Reedsville High School gymnasium, located at 340 Manitowoc St., Reedsville. The service will be led by Rev. Thad Flitter, and after the service, cremation will take place. Family members and friends are invited to join and support the grieving family by gathering in the high school gymnasium starting at 12:00 PM (Noon) until the commencement of the service at 4:00 PM.
