John Keenan died: What was his Cause of Death?
The city and county of Galway are mourning the loss of John Keenan, who passed away in a single-car accident on Saturday, February 11, 2023. In the early hours of the morning, Gardai received a report of a car that had gone into the water at Menlo Pier, on the outskirts of Galway city. When they arrived, they rescued three teenagers from the Corrib River and transported them to University Hospital Galway. Unfortunately, two of the teenagers, John Keenan and Wojcieck Panek, passed away. The third individual, Christopher Stokes, later died after being in critical condition in the hospital.
The cause of the accident is still unknown, and the scene at Menlo Pier is being preserved for a technical examination. Forensic collision investigators have been called in to gather evidence and determine what happened. This tragic loss has deeply affected the community, and our thoughts and condolences are with the families and friends of John Keenan, Wojciech Panek, and Christopher Stokes during this difficult time.
