The incident took place on South Fork Drive, prompting a response from the officers at the CHP Visalia Area Office. At approximately 6:00 a.m., they were alerted to a crash report and initiated an investigation. Initial findings revealed that Jesse, a 50-year-old male, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado south on South Fork Drive at the time of the accident.
According to the CHP, Jesse’s vehicle veered off the west road edge as it approached the bridge over the South Fork Kaweah River. The car collided with a large boulder, causing it to overturn and land on its roof, partially submerged in the river. Tragically, Jesse sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was a dedicated emergency room paramedic, serving at both Sierra View and Kaweah Delta hospitals. Known for his compassionate care, Jesse treated his patients and everyone he encountered as if they were family. His strong work ethic, quick thinking, and willingness to go above and beyond earned him the reputation of a true patient champion. Patients would specifically request to see him and even expressed their desire for him to become their primary physician due to his exceptional qualities. His recent purchase of a ranch in Three Rivers, his military service, extensive travels, and love for the outdoors showcased his diverse interests and passions.
