Harold Edward and Joanna Mae (Duncan) Gee welcomed Jeffrey Gee into the world on September 2, 1958 in Carbondale, Illinois. On June 23, 1975, in Jackson, Missouri, he wed Pamela Kay Jackson. After serving at Fabick, Inc. for over two decades, Jeffrey decided to move on from his job. Throughout his life, he has devoted himself to numerous acts of service for the betterment of his communities and beyond.

Jeffrey has spent more than 40 years serving as a pastor, a youth minister, and a volunteer with various local ministries.Jeffrey has been a part of the Blue Heron Marina and played a pivotal role in creating the Williamson County 4-H Hands of Help. He has also volunteered with Lutheran Social Services and the Marion Extension Center, further showcasing his commitment to his community. Jeffrey has served as a board member of Herrin House of Hope, an organization that helps families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

He recognized the need for low-income people to have access to affordable transportation and established Bicycle Resurrection. Through his efforts, almost 2,000 bicycles have been donated to date, which is a testament to his dedication to helping others.

Obituary and Funeral Arrangements

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville. Pastors Ken Sharp and Andy Gillespie will preside over the service, and the burial will take place at Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. A wake will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jeffrey Edward Gee will be deeply missed by his loved ones and his community, who will forever remember his contributions as a devoted pastor and community leader.
