My heart is saddened today to hear of your passing Kennah Orr Gervais❤️‍🩹. For years I was tasked with providing FIU Panther Seniors with their Senior Gifts. I remember vividly you telling me that you were worried I was not going to complete yours because of lack of pictures due to unfortunate injuries. Nothing made me happier than being able to present you with your well deserved senior gift. I watched your fight with cancer from afar, and you certainly put up a fight. My condolences to your mom and dad, Sam, and your beautiful baby. You’re in a much better place🙏🏻 #CANCERSUCKS

There aren’t really words for something like this, but this is me trying. Kennah Orr Gervais, I hope you know what an honor it is to call you a friend and teammate. Our recent conversations centered around our little girls and what a wild ride parenthood can be and I’m just thankful to have witnessed what an incredible mother you are – it inspires me daily. So does your fight, your warrior mentality, and the strength and grace you faced it with.

May your daughter grow up knowing how blessed she is to have you as her mommy and now her guardian angel and may she carry on your legacy. May your parents continue to see how many lives you touched and hearts you impacted through softball and beyond. And may you rest in peace, pain free, cancer free, and in the arms of God.
