How did Gareth Earp die? What was his Cause of death?
On June 29, 2023, tragedy struck when Inspector Earp was involved in a car crash on the A470 while returning home from work. The collision, which occurred between Llangurig and Rhayader, proved fatal for Gareth Earp. Despite the immediate response and efforts by the Dyfed-Powys police and other officials to save him, Gareth sadly passed away at the scene of the accident. Having served the department for an admirable 21 years, Investigator Earp was highly regarded for his trustworthiness and likable nature. He leaves behind his wife, Tamsin, and their three sons, Ethan, Theo, and Joel, who are devastated by the untimely loss.
The male driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision was airlifted to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the accident on the A470 between Llangurig and Rhayader.
