The accident was reported to the State Highway Patrol around 7:22 AM and involved a collision between a Toyota Corolla driven by Rowland and a 2021 Ford F-550 truck driven by Alex Michael Millager, 35, of Siler City.

Millager failed to stop at a stop sign on Moores Chapel Cemetery Road and collided with Rowland’s vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Lindley Mill Road. Rowland did not survive the crash, while Millager emerged unscathed.

Despite the fact that state troopers do not believe speed or intoxication played a role in the accident, Millager could face charges, and investigators are set to meet with the district attorney’s office to review the case. Lindley Mill Road was blocked off near Moores Chapel Cemetery Road for approximately three hours as the investigation took place, but the scene was cleared by troopers by 10:13 AM.
