Douglas J. Conroy, also known as Doug, was born on December 16, 1972, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He was the second of three sons born to his parents, Michael Coleman Conroy and Audrey Jean (Furnival) Conroy. Doug and his family were raised in Munhall, Pennsylvania, where he spent most of his childhood. In 1991, he graduated from Steel Valley High School.
After completing his education, Doug pursued a career as an electrician and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Union Local #5. He was a dedicated and hardworking electrician who was highly respected in his field. Doug’s passion for his work was evident in the quality of his craft, and he was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that his clients were satisfied.

He also leaves behind two brothers, Michael (Tammy) Conroy and Ryan (Jill) Conroy, his parents Michael and Audrey, and his mother-in-law, Linda (the late Chuck) Stout. Doug’s late grandparents were James and Ruth Furnival. Despite his sudden passing, Doug’s memory lives on through his loved ones, who will undoubtedly cherish the time they had with him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to Doug Conroy at the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home located at 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 5 PM to 8 PM and Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 1 PM to 4 PM. Following the visitation on Wednesday, a funeral service for Doug will take place in the funeral home at 4 PM. This will be an opportunity for loved ones to gather, share memories, and say their final goodbyes to Doug.
