Angie Oeh, a well-known Afrikaans rap artist hailing from the Moot region, has passed away due to stage 4 lung cancer. The news of her passing was shared by SA rocker Francois van Coke in the early hours of a Sunday morning, and her manager, Wynand Myburgh, later confirmed this heartbreaking information. Angie, also known as Angelique Greeff, was admitted to the Life Wilgers hospital in Pretoria on August 13, and sadly, she was pronounced deceased at 17:24 on August 19. Her battle with illness began when she was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer on August 14, 2023. Following an urgent surgical procedure on August 15, she embarked on chemotherapy the following Thursday. After her second chemotherapy session on Friday, Angie encountered difficulties with her blood oxygen levels, leading to her admission to the hospital’s intensive care unit. Despite the best efforts to stabilize her, her condition did not improve, and her organs eventually began to fail. During her final moments, she was surrounded by her girlfriend, Jolandri Van Der Walt, her mother, Peach van Pletzen, a close friend and music collaborator, and other family members.
