Albert Robert Linke Jr. was a respected member of his community, having served in various capacities within the Jamesburg Volunteer Fire Department. He had a passion for firefighting and served as chief for five terms, president for one term, and fire commissioner for three terms. In addition to his work with the fire department, Albert was also a skilled mechanic and truck driver, working for Phillips/Harrison Concrete Co. in New Brunswick for many years before retiring in 2002. Despite his passing, Albert’s contributions to the Jamesburg community will continue to be remembered and appreciated by those who knew him.

Albert Robert Linke, Jr. was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Albert Robert Linke, Jr., was predeceased by his parents, Albert R., Sr., and Myrtle Yetman Linke, as well as four sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife Margaret (McGantlin) Linke and two sons, Albert R. Linke III and Anthony R. Linke. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many other extended family members.

Obituary and Funeral Arrangements

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to the deceased on February 18th and 19th, 2023. They are allowed to call the Jamesburg Volunteer Fire Department Firehouse, located at 82 West Railroad Ave, Jamesburg, NJ 08831, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. The funeral services will commence at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, also at the firehouse. After the services, the deceased will be cremated in a private ceremony. In case friends and family wish to offer their condolences, they can make memorial contributions in the name of Al to the Jamesburg Volunteer Fire Department, at the same address as mentioned above. Flowers are not necessary, as per the request of the family.
