Who was Alan Scott?

Alan was a remarkable individual who had a positive influence on various aspects of the West Lothian community. He served as a police officer for many years and was actively involved in Livingston Football Club as a board member and safety officer. Moreover, he worked as a lecturer at West Lothian College, contributing to education in the area. Apart from his professional roles, Alan was also a beloved DJ, known for his unique style of entertainment, which he shared at numerous events and charity functions throughout the county.

Notably, he made a significant impact as the event host at the Miss West Lothian charity event, where he played a vital role in raising tens of thousands of pounds for local causes. Having recently celebrated his 70th birthday, Alan was already in talks to coordinate the 2024 edition of the charity event alongside organizer Rachel Adam. His presence and dedication will be dearly missed in the community he served so passionately.

Alan Scott Died: What was his Cause of death?

Alan Scott’s passing was a result of a brain tumor. JD Fitness, where he was a client and member, shared the heartbreaking news on their Facebook account. The fitness community at JD was very fond of Alan, and they expressed their support and sympathy during this difficult time. They extended their deepest condolences to his wife, Margaret, and all of his family. Alan was known for his unique personality, always leading by example and supporting the fitness business and its owners, Jac and the poster. He had a talent for humor with his one-liners and served as their personal DJ. His memory will live on, and he will be dearly remembered as “Chief.” Rest in peace, Alan, you will never be forgotten.

“Alan’s death is tragic. He was a wonderful man, who cared so much about his local community. I was privileged to know him and learnt so much from him.

“He will be greatly missed by many.”
